I purchased a Bosch 24volt which lasted 13 months before packing in with white smoke coming out of it. It was just out of warranty. It had been used no more than 30 times to put up pictures etc. I then tried the newer lighter 18v Bosch but found it to be unable to even wind down the stabilizers on my new caravan so I returned it. I then took a bit of a chance and spent the extra £20 to purchase this 18v drill in the hope that it would be stronger than the 18v Bosch.
I studied the battery power, the rpm, the drill power etc and on paper there was not much in it, except the Dewalt was described as a professional product. In practice there is little comparision. The Dewalt’s power is extrordinary. It was fit to lift the 1.5 ton caravan in the air. the extra weight of the drill feels that you are holding somthiing made of metal not plastic like both Bosch.
Seriously, if you are looking for a drill for DIY this is it. End of story
